Boneslinger

Dave Wright, powerhouse vocalist and trombonist formerly of The Countdown Quartet and The Squirrel Nut Zippers brings his latest creation to life with BONESLINGER. Staying true to his old-school R&B, New Orleans-jazz roots, BONESLINGER brings a fresh brew of original music with a killin’ retro vibe.  You’ll also hear timeless cuts from Professor Longhair, Booker T, Hank Williams Sr., Ray Charles and much more. Dave Wright’s powerful and soulful trombone solos are one of a kind and always an audience delight! You’ll be a “Bone Head” for life once you’ve heard this band!

Ghostt Bllonde

There’s something sinister in undefined jubilance. The very thing that may make you most elated in spirit may be the very thing that corrupts your mind. Like depending on a cloud, at ease in the second but all the while knowing at any instant your support might just falter; sending you plummeting to a bitter reality. Ghostt Bllonde is the still frame of this moment: molding the angst of a love-torn-adolescent in a confined bedroom into a parade of thrashing crooners. While Everley harmonies and Connie Stevens swoons may cradle you to high spirits, snarling guitars through jangling broken chords will remind you to watch your step. Stemming from PBR suds and nervous hiccups Ghostt Bllonde's lovably insouciant indie rock is a 50′s rumble of trash-can-pop.

Dylan Michael is a 24 year old pop singer/songwriter in the Atlanta area. Described by DJ Mike Pope of Atlanta as the love child between Britney Spears, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert, and Usher, his sound is unique. While staying in a pop vein, his musical style is diverse, ranging from a slower R&B influenced sound to an up-tempo Katy Perry-esque number. His balls-to-the-wall, "stay true to yourself" style has gotten him attention all over the country, from straight AND gay media outlets. "Dylan," as fellow performer Sunni Stephens has said, "with the voice of Kelly Clarkson and the originality of Lady Gaga, is one to look out for!"

Crystal Bright & the Silver Hands

crystal bright

It has been a very busy year for Crystal Bright & the Silver Hands, with over 150 shows from Canada to Austin, TX and New Orleans to Nashville in support of the latest release, “Muses and Bones.” The album has received press and glowing reviews in the US and Europe, as well as radio play in the US, UK and Canada, including NPR and BBC appearances. Bright is rising through the ranks quickly and performed with the North Carolina Symphony in 2011 on an arrangement of her song “Toy Hammer,” at SXSW and Savannah Stopover in 2013 where she was highlighted by Savannah Now as one of the “Must See” acts, and was featured as one of the On the Rise performers at Floydfest 2013, taking Runner Up for a Main Stage slot in 2014.

The group has an eclectic, haunting but yet whimsical, carnivalesque world folk sound. Singer/Songwriter Crystal Bright plays accordion, musical saw, concertina, piano, Taiko drum, adungu (Ugandan harp), and various others, “leaving people captivated with her operatic & soulful vocals and virtuoso command of her various instruments.”

I Was Totally Destroying It

I Was Totally Destroying ItFate has served I Was Totally Destroying It well. The members of the 5-piece power-pop band from Chapel Hill, NC found each other searching for a new creative outlet as all their previous bands were imploding at precisely the same moment. Determined to try something different, these veterans of North Carolina indie rock acts like Sorry About Dresden and Strunken White embraced their love of 70’s icons such as Tom Petty and Elvis Costello, 80’s new wave artists such as The Cure and Kate Bush, and 90’s stalwarts like Superchunk and That Dog - and founded the hook-heavy IWTDI Rock Machine. Dueling lead vocalists and songwriters Rachel Hirsh and John Booker harmonize lyrics that belie the sweet, sunny suggestions of their upbeat melodies, inviting you to listen in on their conversations about self-loathing, fear, and intimacy. Backed by a powerful rhythm section (drummer James Hepler and bassist Joe Mazzitelli), and the soaring lead guitars of Curtis Armstead, I Was Totally Destroying It have yet to slow down in the nearly 5 years since the band’s inception.
